Prior to chiropractic college, I studied kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. In chiropractic college, we were taught manual adjusting. We were also taught the importance of modalities like electrotherapy and ultrasound for healing and orthotics for proper joint mechanics so these things have always been a part of my practice. In my first year of practice, I was adjusted with Thompson technique and I felt great! Another time, a chiropractor did an Activator adjustment on my hip where I had chronic pain from years of dance and the pain disappeared for a whole month. I just had to add these two techniques to my practice!

For years, my patients asked me to add acupuncture and cosmetic acupuncture to my practice - so I did! At the time, I wanted another way to treat headaches but I can treat any musculoskeletal condition with it!

As a believer in holistic care, I also provide non-chiropractic treatments. Reflexology and Reiki are the only treatments that can be tolerated by people who are very ill and are also used by healthy clients who wish to improve their wellness experience. Reflexology is wonderfully relaxing and improves the results of other treatment modalities. And, there is nothing like Reiki. It works on a physical, emotional and spiritual level in a way that I don't think anything else does!

The newest (and most exciting) addition to my practice is cold laser therapy. It is the only modality that works on a cellular level to promote tissue and wound healing. My patients are amazed at the difference they notice when we include cold laser with their regular treatments.

I am a graduate of Toronto's Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and hold a Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. I am a faculty member of Wilfrid Laurier's Health Sciences Department where I am an anatomy lecturer.
